And keep it off?
If so how?

Hi everyone, I'm new! My name is Jenna, and I'm 26.
Height - 5'7"
Start Weight - 207
Current Weight - 198
Goal Weight - 140

I do have a question for you guys.
What is the best way to work out your hips (excluding lunges, because I have arthritis in my knees, so that's out of the question).

Thanks :)

Hi, I'm new
I've been having trouble with my weight since early teens and now I'm 21. I want to lose about 25 kg and I would GREATLY appreciate some support :)
I'm starting Optifast tomorrow. Has anyone tried this? It's a nutritionally balanced shake/bar/soup that you have three times a day and two cups of salad. I know it's strict and I'm not sure how it will go but if I get some support I think I will be successful. Gook luck with your weight loss everyone :D

fatty fatty bom bar.... [Sep. 1st, 2007|09:52 am]
The Losing Side

so... living with my sister is bad for my health. since the 21st of april (4 months) i have put on 10kgs!!! not good... she eats crappy takeaway all the time - so i get sucked into eating it too... when she does eat at home its normally too much for one meal, and i end up eating too much, and its normally something fatty!

NO MORE!!!! as of this sunday - its stopping! im not eating any more crap anymore, and im going to cut down my meals, and im going to start to exercise again. ive joined a gym - but it doesnt open till the 10th of sept. i weight 99kgs at the moment - and i hate it! i will update my progress on the 1st of oct and see what ive done in a month.

i want to have lost as much as i can without going crazy and doing sometihng stupid by my birthday - 13th october. and then i want to loose even more before i go back home to see my parents in november. and then even more by new years.

i want to get back down to between 60 and 70kgs. so i am aiming to loose a total of 35kgs. lets hope i can do it and be fit and healthy again.

wish me luck!

Hey everyone! How are you going with your weightloss? I have been at this 2 months now and lost 23lbs!!! Its going to well. I still have a lot to lose though! Plz check out my blog at www.groovybabe.co.uk to see my struggle!

I hope no one minds me mentioning but I have also set up a weightloss forum for people from the UK on that domain. I just found that most weightloss forums were american and wanted something that applied more to us brits. So please come over, post and help me to get it off the ground. Also please pimp it where ever you can! Its at http://www.groovybabe.co.uk/forum/

Thank you!!!!!

Hey, is anyone actively losing weight at the moment? I have just re-ignited my weightloss journal betterchoices and am looking for like-minded people to add to my flist.

I am two and a half weeks into my weightloss and have lost 10lbs so far. I go to the gym and control my calories. I write everything down. Anyway, check out my profile and add me if you're active in your weightloss and your journal :)

Hi there, I'm Lesely. I'm new to the group and my goal is to lose all the weight I gained pre and post spinal surgery. One thing is certain - not moving and stuffing with comfort foods for almost a year will really pack on the padding! In any case, I'm doing very well with my "fly by the seat of your pants" healthy eating/exercise routine, and am happy to report I'm over half way to my goal weight. Go me! *does happy loser dance*

I'm lucky in that I'm so fond of sushi. It really is a great addition to any diet...if you can get past the raw fish thing, that is. ;) I'm very glad I stumbled across this group. Good luck to all of us losers!

Yesterday I just bought myself a new toy!!! I'm SO excited...Jason (my husband) said go ahead and get it since he knows how much I love to bike and it will help me workout at home when I have some free time or don't have time to make it to the gym!!!! :)

So this is a silly question that I'm hoping at least one person here can answer...I was playing around today and found out that my resting heart rate is only 56 beats per minute...I know that is rather low and healthy...now does that mean when I work out I have to raise it even higher....meaning do I need to work out even harder to get a good workout and lose some of this weight I have on my tummy?
